 The Great Get Together Picnic

This year Children’s Week, Mental Health Month and Lake Macquarie Family Day Cares’ 40th birthday all collide. Council will be hosting a joint celebration at Speers Point Park that will mark these special occasions, and recognise Council’s Me2 program

Join the fun at Speers Point Park from 11am-2pm on Tuesday 22 October, to celebrate as a community and enjoy some entertainment and a free lunch.

The free event includes activities for all ages with a reptile show and therapy ponies featuring alongside Cycling Without Age, ‘big games’, such as Jenga and Connect Four, and loads more.

Have your face painted and stretch with yoga and moving well activities, all while listening to local school groups and the talented Connor Wink.

It wouldn’t be a picnic without food, so we encourage you to bring your own or register for the free lunch provided by Nikinpa Aboriginal Family & Child Care Centre.

Don’t forget a picnic rug, chair and water bottle!
