Join us to celebrate the re-opening of the new -look Art Gallery with a weekend of free events.

From Saturday 23 November through to Sunday 24 November, the Gallery and sculpture park will become a hive of activity with creative fun for all ages.

From markets to workshops, guided exhibition tours to live music, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

A detailed program will be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

Family friendly activities

Enjoy the new exhibitions with activity sheets, music and art making for everyone.

Aboriginal markets

Browse local Aboriginal market stalls showcasing local art and craft
Noon onwards

Guided exhibition tours

Take a guided tour of the exhibition with the curators.

Workshops

Join local emerging Aboriginal artist Jasmine Craciun in making woven basket forms which will become part of the exhibition.
1pm onwards Saturday (and from 10am Sunday)

Saying hello storytime

Join in a special storytime followed by art activities about the different ways we say hello. Suitable for children under 8 and carers.
Noon and 3pm

Expression through sound

Express feelings and thoughts using musical instruments  in this family friendly musical workshop. Suitable for children under 8 and parents.
1pm

The Rover

Lake Mac’s mobile library ‘The Rover’ will be on site all day with plenty of stories and activities.
Noon-4pm

Indigenous Storytime

Join Aboriginal Artist Michelle Earle for a special Indigenous Storytime.
2pm

Performers

Be amazed and entertained by roving performers.
